Built for Connection.

Kokopelli Climbing started with a homemade wall, a few close friends, and an obsession with vertical adventure. What began in Arizona turned into a mission to connect climbers with certified guides across the world.

In 2003, I picked up my first pair of climbing shoes while working the Phoenix Boulder Contest. I had no idea how much that single decision would shape my life.

In 2008, I earned my WFR and AMGA SPI and started a mentorship with Center Focus Adventures under Garrett Bennett — a true force of nature in the guiding world. Garrett wasn’t just skilled; he was legendary. Guiding with heart. Leading with integrity. He taught me that great climbing is about more than movement — it’s about meaning.

In 2010, I got PCGI certified and launched Kokopelli Climbing in 2012. And when the world paused during COVID, we circled back to where it all began — the garage wall. That scrappy setup wasn’t just plywood and plastic. It kept our crew sane, strong, and connected through it all.

One day on the rock — sun overhead, friends laughing between burns — I felt something deeper. That moment of presence, of shared joy, made it clear: this isn’t just about climbing. It's about helping others feel that spark.

From the granite cracks of Yosemite to the limestone towers of Thailand, every route tells a story. Whether you're chasing your first outdoor lead or ticking off a dream route in Patagonia, we’re here to help you climb with confidence — and purpose.
